Male physiology and TSL Membership: A brief study.
A few years ago, in one of my rare fits of pique on the boards, I stopped my monthly TSL payments, and not long after quit posting for over two years.
At that time, I began having a significant increase in my annual PSA tests for prostate cancer.
[Now, since we all argue about almost everything almost all the time, we can certainly argue about the validity of this test as an indicator of prostate cancer. But let's save that for when we have nothing else to argue about. (So, never.) TIA].
Anyway, I had historically a decent PSA of under 1.4. About that time, however, the PSA began to rise and got as high as 6.85, which is concerning. I began visiting a specialist at a urology clinic and it was agreed I'd get an MRI screening for prostate cancer.
I began posting again, and sure enough, the MRI was negative for cancer cells.
But the PSA began getting elevated again, from 4.28 to 4.35 to 4.85 last year. Were we on the wrong path again?
What to do?
In March when my $1200 Gubmint COVID $ arrived, I resubscribed to TSL and paid the annual fee up front (big spender).
Today my annual PSA results arrived: 2.85.
Coincidence? You decide.
